More Info:

On Friday, May14, 2010, teams of six will compete for the honor of Champion of the 3rd Annual Socratic Challenge. The event will feature ten rounds of thought-provoking trivia questions resulting in the top team hoisting the trophy. That last team will be the proud recipient of the Socratic Challenge Cup, a three foot tall trophy…that is, until next’s year winner claims the crown. The competition will also feature hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, raffle, guest MCs, and camaraderie. In addition to the trivia contest a live auction will be held in between the rounds. Team registration is $150 (six players). Spectators are welcome for $25.

This is a unique opportunity to showcase the stunning grey matter of your team, and get to grips with engaging and interesting questions over the course of a wonderful evening. Everyone loves the thrill of competing, and it doesn’t matter if you’re a Socratic scholar or someone who enjoys a bit of party poker – everyone is welcome to compete. The winners not only get the prize, but the honor of being recognized as a team of bright-minded, celebrated individuals.

Please note space is limited and registration will be taken on a first come first served basis. Upon receipt of your team’s registration, confirmation of your registration or placement on our wait list will be sent to your team contact. A payment receipt will be sent to your contact upon receipt of payment. Payment due upon registration. Doors Open at 6:00 p.m. Competition begins at 7:00 p.m. Visit www.pslegal.org for more details. Proceeds benefit Prairie State Legal Services, Inc. Bloomington office. In 2009, the Bloomington office of Prairie State Legal Services completed cases for clients in Livingston, McLean, and eastern Woodford Counties. These cases addressed the most basic needs of 1097 children and 1223 adults.
