Sangamon Valley Youth Symphony Trivia Night *

The event benefits the community by teaching youth orchestral music but goes beyond music by teaching commitment and discipline.

SPRINGFIELD, IL – The Sangamon Valley Youth Symphony invites you to our first Trivia Night.  Maestro Richard Haglund will host the trivia event at the Hoogland Center for the Arts lower level dining room on April 1, 2011.  The doors to the event open at 6:00 PM and the 10 rounds of 10 questions will start promptly at 7:00 PM with Russ Friedewald.  The cost of the event is $10 per person with the option of purchasing snack food from our snack concession, drinks at the cash bar; take your chance at the 50/50 drawing, and buy a mulligan to use as a free point on those questions that stump you.

Get ready to show us your knowledge and possibly with a cash prize.  Join us for this great evening of FUNdraising.  All proceeds from the evening will go to support the Sangamon Valley Youth Symphony.  The Sangamon Valley Youth Symphony is a nonprofit organization that takes pride in teaching the youth of the greater Springfield Community how to play a musical instrument in an orchestral setting.  Each year the Sangamon Valley Youth Symphony host auditions for young musicians to place them in one of the four different levels of orchestra.  The Sangamon Valley Youth Symphony teaches music but the values and lessons go beyond the music.  The youth who participate learn commitment, discipline by practicing their instruments, and teamwork by listening to the members of their section.  Please join us for this fun evening and help support these bright minded youth!
