WQLZ’s Dumber than Zane Trivia Night
Hosted by the Free Beer and Hot Wings Morning Show
to benefit Bodine.
Bodine has been with WQLZ for 14 years.  His three year old son, Joshua, suffers from Fanconi Anemia, a rare genetic disease. After several bone marrow transplants (and a few scares) he is out of the woods for now, but has a long way to go. Bodine has a long road ahead too. Joshua is only one of his eight kids, and in the last year Bodine has missed over 6 months of work to be with his son and wife at the hospital in Cincinnati during this process. Between being with Joshua and caring for his other children without his wife, he works on completely renovating his house to a “clean house†with a new air system, floors, windows, the works.
This has to happen to bring Joshua home, he even had to adopt out his pets. Help from the Ronald McDonald house and various state aid programs have made a huge difference to Bodine and his family, but don’t come near to covering all the expenses involved. Bodine has been the guy who always does the fundraisers, who raises thousands of dollars for Toys for Tots and Habitat for Humanity.
Now we are going to help him. Joshua is on oxygen and confined to a wheelchair and Bodine needs a wheelchair accessible vehicle in order to transport Joshua around town and to and from Cincinnati for monthly checkups. We are going to raise the money to buy that for him.
