A second annual trivia competition has been set to kick off the new year on January first.
Dawn of 2010 Trivia will be staged on Friday, January 1. A team-basedtrivia competition, the event will be staged at the Church of the New Covenant, 520 Nazarene Road in Jacksonville. The doors will open at 12:30 p.m. with the triviacompetition starting at 1:30 p.m.
Teams can be any number of players up to a maximum of ten. Pre-registration is not required but tables will be reserved only for teams who sign up in advance of the day.
The entry fee is $10.00 per person. Prizes to be awarded are 10% of the gate receipts for the first place team and 5% of the gate for second place. A 50/50 raffle and prize drawings will also be held.
Proceeds will benefit the Pregnancy Resource Center’s HOPE Program (formerly Earn WHile You Learn) which provides education for expectant mothers as well as supplies such as diapers, feeding equipment, cribs and strollers.
